CMS PTFA

CMS PTFA has continued to grow stronger, and this year has already seen 4 fantastic events.

October - Year 5 form tutors and Mrs Baker hosted 'Cake in the Classroom', where parents were given the opportunity to visit their child's new classroom, while eating a slice of cake! This event raised £181.00 towards the year 5 playground equipment.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event, it was great to see so many pupils showing parents their new classrooms.

November - Catshill Quiz Evening. This was the very first quiz evening that the PTFA have ever hosted and again it was a roaring success! We had some unbelievably generous raffle prizes from local businesses and we cannot thank them enough for supporting our school. Our quiz master, Nicola, was incredible and the PTFA are already looking at dates for next years quiz! This event raised a total £1,135.78!

Special shout out to local businesses: The Gate at Bournheath, Liberty Leisure, Just Act, PureGym Bromsgrove, Deepening Minds Tuition, The Potting Shed, The Nail House, The Loaded Spud Co, Everyone Active, The Wildmoor Oak and Webbs Garden Centre for all donating prizes, this made our evening extra special.

December - Christmas Disco. For the 2nd year in a row we have hosted a Christmas disco and again what a night! With over 230 tickets sold, it was loud! But CMS pupils were well behaved, well mannered and we had some pretty impressive dancing too! DJ James got pupils and staff on the dance floor to boogie the night away!

We are delighted to share that we raised £1,058.00!

December - Coffee & Carols. Another first for CMS, our first ever community carol service. Organised by Miss Rowell, CMS invited members of Catshill community to kick start the Christmas period with seasonal songs performed by CMS pupils. Catshill Middle School has some outstanding musical talent and it was a lovely way to bring the community together at Christmas.

We received £40.00 in donations which will be donated to the Music Department.

Last term the PTFA contributed towards:

  • 3 pupils attending the end of year reward trip
  • snacks and drinks for The Orchard Room
  • a juicer and new pans for DT
  • playground equipment fund.

Updates will be added to Facebook and CMS website, as and when we purchase new items for school.

None of these events would be possible without the PTFA volunteers who donate so much of their time to make sure pupils enjoy themselves! THANK YOU!
