Catshill Middle School

We want to make you aware of a very upsetting incident that took place at school last night. At approximately 12.30am, a group of young/teenage boys entered the school grounds and vandalised our school minibus. This is deeply upsetting for our whole school community. Our minibus is an important resource that enables us to provide pupils with educational visits, sporting activities and other opportunities beyond the classroom. As a result of the damage, there is now a direct impact on our upcoming school trips, and we are working hard to assess the situation and minimise any disruption to pupils. The school is working closely with the police and will continue to take all appropriate steps in response to this incident. We would also ask parents/carers living in the local area to please check any CCTV, Ring doorbell or other security footage you may have from around 12.30am, particularly if you live close to the school. If you have any footage or information that you believe may assist us in identifying those involved, please contact the school office as soon as possible. Any information shared will be treated appropriately and passed to the relevant authorities where necessary. We understand that many families will be as disappointed and upset as we are. We will provide further information regarding any affected school trips as soon as we are able to do so. Thank you for your continued support in helping us to protect our school, our resources and the opportunities we provide for all of our pupils.
